Vaccination continues in our country as well as all over the world. For those who had the coronavirus, vaccination was done 6 months later. In addition, the second dose of vaccine was not given to citizens who were Covid and received their first dose of Biontech. After the Scientific Committee, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced the new decision.
WILL PARTICIPANTS HAVE THE 2nd DOSAGE OF VACCINE?
With the decision taken by the Ministry of Health’s Coronavirus Science Board, a new method was introduced in the vaccine application. Accordingly, the second dose will now be given to those who have coronavirus and have their first dose of BioNTech vaccine. Those who come in the second dose of vaccine, where appointments are opened, will be able to get their vaccine. Even if you have the disease with the required vaccine ID while traveling to Europe, it is obligatory to have 2 doses of vaccine.
The vaccine, which was applied after 6 months in those who caught the coronavirus in Turkey and had the disease, was reduced to 3 months in the past days. After the Scientific Committee held last week, Minister Koca said about the reminder dose, “As you know, the right to vaccination was defined 6 months after the disease. As of today, this period has been reduced to 3 months.”
CAN THOSE WHO HAVE TWO DOSE OF SINOVAC HAVE A THIRD DOSE OF BIONTECH?
Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, in a statement after the Coronavirus Scientific Committee meeting on June 30, stated that those aged 50 and over who have received two doses of vaccination and healthcare workers will be able to make an appointment for their third dose as of July 1. After Minister Koca announced that citizens with 2 doses of Sinovac vaccine can use the 3rd dose preference for the Biontech vaccine, research on the vaccine gained momentum again. According to the decision, citizens who receive their first two doses of Sinovac can have a third dose of Biontech vaccine.
