Euthanasia, which is one of the issues that divides the medical world into two, can be defined as the willful termination of life by medical means. Two different definitions are used for euthanasia as active and passive euthanasia.
WHAT IS ETHENASIA, WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
In active euthanasia, the person willingly demands a medical termination. In the euthanasia procedure performed under the supervision of a doctor, the patient’s life is ended by using a needle.
In passive euthanasia, the treatment of people who cannot be treated or who have advanced disease is stopped, and the disease progresses rapidly and results in death. In other words, if the patient is not treated, the death caused by the disease is accelerated.
