Why Are Cardiovascular Important?

Heart diseases occur when the heart and heart vessels fail to function. There are different underlying causes of heart disease. The disease caused by the occlusion of the vessels leading to the heart is called coronary heart disease. It is a type of disease that progresses insidiously since there are no symptoms during the occlusion of the vessels.

What is Coronary Artery?

Artery means arteries. The task of the arteries is to deliver the blood pumped by the heart to all body tissues. They travel around the body like a net. The wall of the artery has a very elastic structure. All organs in the body are fed by the blood carried by the arteries.

What are the heart vessels?

The health of the heart vessels is extremely important for human health. There are 3 main vessels that carry and feed oxygen to the heart. These heart vessels are;

Right coronary artery supplying the posterior surface of the heart

Left main coronary artery supplying the anterior aspect of the heart

Circumflex artery that supplies the left side of the heart.

The heart is supplied by 3 arteries (coronary arteries), one on the right and two on the left. All of these veins and other veins are important. But the most important is the vein called the left main coronary artery. Because this vein feeds 2/3 of the heart. Since this vessel is excessive as muscle mass, the risk factor increases when it is damaged. Obstruction of this vein can cause the death of the person. The right coronary artery, on the other hand, supplies current to the sinus node that keeps our heart working. When there is a problem in this vein, the heart stops working. Or rhythm disturbances may occur.

The health of the heart depends largely on the health of the vessels. There are large vessels connected to the three main coronary arteries. If there is a problem with these vessels, stenting may be the case. The structure of the heart is a very complex structure. The heart needs oxygen to function. It needs to be fed out of oxygen. In this, the function of the vessels is quite high.

The heart has chambers. These chambers are filled with blood. However, heart nutrition is made from the right and left coronary arteries, not with the blood contained in it. In this respect, it is very important that the veins are healthy. The right coronary artery supplies blood to the right and left atrium located between the two ventricles. There are many branches that depart from these veins. Veins travel around the entire body and organs like a line.

As a result of the clogging of these vessels, a heart attack occurs. Damage occurs in the parts where they carry blood. As a result of this situation, contractions occur. For this reason, it is important that these veins that feed the heart are open. If plaque forms in the vessels, the heart muscle is disrupted.

What Are The Names Of The Heart Vessels?

There are many veins that go to the heart. But there are three veins that are fundamental. These veins allow blood to be carried to the whole body and organs. Thus, it is ensured that the organs work properly. The names of these three basic vessels that carry oxygen to the heart are as follows;

Right coronary artery supplying the posterior surface of the heart

Left main coronary artery supplying the anterior aspect of the heart

Circumflex artery that supplies the left side of the heart.

The veins of the heart are three vessels in total, two on the left side and one on the right.
