Although depression is known as a winter season disease, there is also summer seasonal depression. Experts point out that winter-type depressions tend to be more melancholy, and that irritability, that is, an overreaction to mild stimuli, is more dominant in summer-type depression. Experts recommend that everyone be exposed to sunlight for at least half an hour daily as a preventative measure.
