Avokado

While avocados are popular and lauded for their diverse nutritional qualities, if eaten too much – especially if you already have a kidney condition – they can be dangerous to your kidneys. This is because this fruit has a very high potassium level. Our bodies need this mineral, but too much potassium in the blood can cause serious problems such as muscle cramps and irregular heartbeat.

And

Eating too much meat can cause kidney problems because animal proteins are difficult to digest. This makes the removal of waste products a burden for the kidneys. A diet rich in animal proteins can also lead to the development of kidney stones. Meat has a high amount of purine that stimulates the production of uric acid, one of the common causes of kidney stones.

Instead, you can eat more vegetables and nuts; In this way, you can obtain the proteins your body needs.

Salt

A healthy diet should contain a maximum of 2300 mg of sodium per day (about a teaspoon of salt). If you eat too much salt, your kidneys have to work harder to remove excess sodium from your body, so they may start to retain water that can cause high blood pressure. To keep your kidneys healthy, you can add spices and herbs to your food instead of excess salt.

Processed or packaged foods such as canned soups or vegetables, frozen pizzas, and salad dressings also contain large amounts of salt, so it’s a good idea to reduce your intake.

Muse

If you suspect you have kidney problems, you should realize that a good and proper diet is essential to stay healthy. This means limiting the consumption of certain foods, such as bananas, because they have a high enough potassium level that can be harmful to those whose kidneys are not functioning properly.

A healthy adult should have a daily intake of 3,500-4,700 mg of potassium from food. An average banana (150 g) currently contains 537 mg. However, if you already have kidney disease, more serious health problems can occur because your body cannot filter excess potassium.

Milk

Although dairy products are rich in vitamins and nutrients, consuming too much milk, yogurt, and cheese can cause harm. This happens because of the high phosphorus found in foods that can cause stress on the kidneys.

Also, if your kidneys are not functioning properly, they cannot remove the extra phosphorus from your blood, which can lead to thinning and weakening of your bones over time, increasing the risk of fracture.

Brown bread

Whole wheat bread is healthy and nutritious, but if eaten in large amounts, it can damage the kidneys. This is due to the high amount of phosphorus and potassium included in this bread type. One slice of whole grain bread contains 70 mg of potassium and 57 mg of phosphorus, compared to a slice of white bread at only 25 mg each.

Orange

Although oranges and orange juice are low in calories and rich in vitamin C, they contain high levels of potassium. One medium orange provides 240 mg of potassium to the body, and a glass of orange juice contains about 470 mg of potassium.

Considering these data, consumption of oranges and orange juice should be limited, especially if you do not have fully functional kidneys. If excess potassium cannot come out of the blood, this can be very dangerous for your body.
