• Fat intake should be reduced, as fat reduces uric acid excretion from the kidneys.
• Attention should be paid to weight gain. Overweight individuals should lose weight. Being overweight increases the risk of developing gout, while giving up reduces the risk of gout. Losing weight also reduces overall stress on the joints.
• Body circulation should be kept alive by drinking plenty of water.
• Alcohol should not be consumed. Alcohol triggers gout attacks and causes uric acid buildup.
In addition to nutrition, adequate exercise should help the treatment of the disease.
